MARKETPLACE WITH SHADING AND LED LIGHTING
The market place of Aabenraa or Åbenrå is a Danish town in the Syddanmark region with about 16,000 inhabitants. It is situated about 30 kilometres north of Flensburg on an estuary of the Baltic Sea, the Apenrader Förde. In order to make the stay more enjoyable for visitors and locals alike, the market square was redesigned by the landscape planners Topotek1, Berlin. The place was to be shaded against the strong sun in summer and illuminated at the same time - the telescopic umbrella type T from MDT was used.
SHADING AND LIGHTING IN ONE
The large umbrella of the type T (telescopic umbrella) makes a graceful impression here on the market place. The frame is powder-coated in RAL colour 9005, the cover is made of black PVC, which is ideal for year-round use and can provide shade and also prevent a drop of rain at the same time. The umbrellas can be opened and closed electrically at the push of a button via a control unit. The highlight of the umbrellas is the integrated LED lighting, which is attached to the mast at a height of 3 m and radiates vertically onto the ground. This guarantees a pleasant lighting atmosphere into the late evening hours and increases the length of stay of the guests.
