THE DOUBLE MEMBRANE OF THESE ARCHITECTURAL PARASOLS TRANSFORM THE INNER COURTYARD OF THE OFFICE COMPLEX INTO A LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SPECTACLE. THE STRENGTH OF THE MEMBRANE AND ITS TENSION IS REALIZED BY TECHNICAL PIPING. THE TWO MEMBRANES TOGETHER FORM AN AIR CUSHION WHICH IS ILLUMINATED IN THE EVENING.

This architecture parasols were installed several times at the Konrad Munich, office complex. The architecture parasols from MDT have a special static stability and an own water drainage system, which protects guests and users of the building from rain during breaks. Due to the square wise of the type SP, the membrane structures can be laid out like a chess pattern.

The large parasols type AV (double membrane umbrellas) make a graceful impression here in the garden landscape. The umbrellas are installed in the size 3,6x3,6 m and have a pole diameter of 150 mm. In this project, two individual umbrellas were always connected by a rain gutter and thus form a roof landscape of 3.6 x 7.2 metres. The umbrella is designed to collect rainwater. The upper membrane is constructed like a sieve (e.g. leaves are kept away and the water can run through the mesh fabric). The collected water is drained through the double mast system. The frame is powder-coated in RAL colour 9005, black, the membrane is made of white PVC, which is ideal for year-round use. This umbrella model cannot be folded, like most parasols, and is therefore more stable against wind.

The company Konrad offers rentable office space at the former Munich Riem Airport. The light-flooded offices have a view of the entire garden, which is equipped with modern W-Lan technology to allow working outside. In order to ensure shady places in the garden, several fixed double membrane parasols of the type AV have been installed.
